Learn: Everything we eat is made up of three main macronutrients: protein, carbohydrates, and fats. As athletes, the breakdown of how we eat plays a role in our overall performance. For example, if we ate 2000 calories in purely carbohydrates, we would likely feel bloated, sluggish, and weak. If we ate 2000 calories all in fat, we would feel heavy, slow, and tired because it takes more energy for our body to breakdown fat than carbs. Finding a balance between all three is what makes us successful athletes.

In order to make changes to your eating habits, you need to understand how you are currently fueling your body. These next few lessons will teach you about each macronutrient and help you understand how to make sure you are fueling your body properly!
